I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #MFC42671). I have a master’s degree in counseling, with fifteen years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents, and groups, both in private practice and agency settings.
I've also counseled students in a middle school setting, directed a domestic violence shelter, and led psychotherapy groups dealing with anger management, domestic violence, and eating disorders.
Before I began doing clinical work, I was a Research Associate with the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Research Group at the San Francisco VA Medical Center/UCSF. My work there focused on the efficacy of multiple therapy modalities in the treatment of trauma.
I am married and have two children. This experience brings me a real life perspective about the struggles we are all challenged with in our married and family lives.
